BEAR WATCHING IN THE WILDERNESS OF THE SPANISH PYRENEES

This contest is open to everyone who loves the mountains, nature, animals, adventure and photography. The perfect combination: watching wildlife in the wilderness with the help of forests rangers. Participants will have the unique opportunity to learn about how bears behave in the wilderness while practising their photography skills.

Four participants will be chosen to take part in this amazing adventure. The team will be made up of 2 forest rangers, 1 biology expert and 1 professional photographer. The participants will observe and learn more about bear behaviour in the wild.

This activity will take place in Vall D’Aran, an area of spectacular beauty in the heart of the Pyrenees nestling on the boarder with France. It offers tourists and winter sports enthusiasts an intoxicating mix of history, culture and gastronomy surrounded by magnificent nature and breathtaking landscapes. Brown bears were reintroduced to the Pyrenees in the late 1990s as part of an EU project. Giva, Melba and Piros were the first brown bears to return to the area. The population now numbers almost 30 bears that are free to roam the mountains.

Please note: The GORE-TEX® Experience Tour project will be held in English. Gore will pay for the travel expenses of the four candidates for the duration of the 4-day project.

The application will start at 10th June.
